Every time an old building gets torn down, a town loses part of it’s history.  And with Asbury Park, the past seems to be steadily slipping away.  Sometimes that can be good, and sometimes, it’s terrible.   Buildings can fall into ruin beyond repair.  One day, I was walking around Asbury Park with my digital camera and took these two pictures of the Ambassador Hotel.  two weeks later, I returned, hoping for more — was tempted to break in a get pictures of it’s inside.  But the ambassador had vanished.  In the course of two weeks, it had been demolished, leaving only an empty lot two blocks or so from the beach.
