While the redevelopment of Asbury Park goes on, there’s still a lot of abandoned buildings. Still, one by one, they’re either getting refurbished or pulled down. It’s interesting, in that regard, to find a clip like this on YouTube. A pair of urban explorers break into one of the boarded up buildings on the boardwalk — judging by the video, it’s between Convention Hall and the Skyscraper-old-folks-home. Redevelopment has yet to touch this far end of the boardwalk, although a condo block nears completion nearby. As for the insides of tis particular building, it’s typically Asbury Park right before the recent redevelopment, as garbage and rubble seem strewn everywhere. (And by the way, the sand they two come out on has been paved over now, and is a finished street.)
