In a place as small and remote as Bermuda, the classic struggle between real estate development and historical preservation could be an issue. Typically, in the US, especially in places like North Carolina, it is an issue. Simply put, there’s only a finite amount of space to develop, which makes land prices, even for Bermudian citizens, very costly At any rate, there is an organization working on behalf of preservation, The Bermuda National Trust. Their website could be a good starting point on researching Bermuda history, as they have posted information on cemeteries, historical sites, buildings, and archaeological digs.
