This is the website for Bermuda’s police.

Interestingly enough, they have a statistical breakdown of crime over the years.    There were 3 murders in 2007, and the total acts of violent crime is 350.  Doesn’t sound like much?  Remember, the place is only 27 or so miles long.

  1. One in less than 200 of the occupants assaulted? With 65,000 population that’s a staggering number of assaults. Or do they just pick on tourists? . What country do you know with a murder rate of 3 in 65,000 – about 5 per 100,000 – compare at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_homicide_rate … then there’s the unsolved matters … With a police service circa. 400, why have they found the need to find 100 recruits from Jamaica?
