A few months old, but the Monmouth’s County’s most notorious serial killer died in jail. He was dubbed “the thrill killer” by the media, and the guy had a long, troubled history, dating back to his birth, even:

Biegenwald was the son of an abusive, alcoholic father and a mother who was told by her husband to take a cab home from the hospital after giving birth to their only child.

At age 5, Biegenwald tried to burn down his parents’ home on Staten Island, and he was in and out of psychiatric hospitals afterwards, receiving electric shock treatments at age 9.
